What is a Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation? Today we're talking about Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations. A Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation, or CVL, is a formal process whereby the directors of a limited company voluntarily choose to close their company. Although the process is entered into on a voluntary basis, it often follows months of financial distress, where the possibility of successful turnaround has been exhausted.
